Synopsis - Chapter 31

2015 started off pretty good. I didn't go to the mountains over Christmas, mostly for financial reasons. I gave my 1988 S-10 Blazer to my daughter Chris. She and her Mom, Bonnie, and her sister Kayla, drove down from Statesboro to pick it up and drive back. Karen and I took them to lunch at the Pier restaurant at 4th Avenue North and the oceanfront. The building used to be a topless bar, The Top of the Tides.

I've been going through periods of feeling good and having one ailment or another. Some of it is from overdoing, but I always think, Is this old age and permanent? or can I get over it. I have slowed down considerably and get tired more easily, but I can still do everything I always did, in moderation.

I'm working on my 1994 Geo Tracker a lot, sometimes with the help of my buddy, Jeremy Tarkington, who is a professional mechanic. It runs pretty good, but needs some work to be roadworthy.

Have been feeling much better overall. Pool cleaning business is good. I sat 6 times with the recruit surfmen and past all my tests to be non responding active. I am still several minutes slow on my mile run and 500 meter swim. Made one quick trip to Otto in my Tracker to consult with Karen about storage. Went to Laila Grace's 6th birthday party in Statesboro in June. Joey Mainville replaces the AC compressor in the Tracker in August. Tracker still needs a few things but is pretty much roadworthy. Karen retires from FSCJ in July and spends most of her time in the mountains. Sadie stays with me and we are getting along better and better. Smoky goes to the mountains with Karen. We are down to 4 turtles: Terri, Tony, Neal, and Marshall. Terri had around a dozen eggs but the contents got eaten. We think they were not fertilized but aren't sure. Am doing a trade out with my chiropractor, Dr. Casey Morris, cleaning his pool for adjustments and massages.
